De Irrational Beliefs Inventory-50 (IBI-50) is een bewerking van gedeeltes uit de Irrational Beliefs Test (Jones, 1968) en de Rational Behavior Inventory (Shorkey en Whiteman, 1977) en bestaat uit 50 items onderverdeeld in 5 dimensies, te weten: piekeren, rigiditeit, behoefte aan waardering, externe controle en probleemvermijding. De 5 subschalen kunnen onderling worden gescoord, maar er kan ook een totaalscore berekend worden om de mate van irrationeel denken te kwantificeren. De IBI-50 is ontwikkeld uit itempools van de Irrational Beliefs Test (IBT) en de Rational Behavior Inventory (RBI).
