Femininity Ideology Scale – Chinese Version

Description

The Femininity Ideology Scale is a tool intended to measure the extent to which individuals support traditional femininity ideologies, which are beliefs regarding how women should behave. The scale consists of 45 normative statements, and participants express their level of agreement or disagreement using a 5-point Likert-type scale. A score of 1 indicates strong disagreement with traditional norms, while a score of 5 represents strong agreement.

Administration Method and Scoring

Participants respond to 45 statements using a 5-point Likert-type scale. Factor scores are calculated by summing the items within each subscale and dividing by the number of items in that subscale. The Total Traditional Score is obtained by summing the raw scores from the five factors and dividing by 45.

The scale has demonstrated reliability, with Cronbach’s alpha coefficients reported as follows:
