Description
Feminism, also known as women’s rights or gender equality movement, encompasses a series of political movements, ideologies, and social movements aimed at achieving gender equality in political, economic, personal, and social spheres. Feminists are those who pursue gender equality across various domains. Feminist identity refers to a collective and social recognition of self-identifying as a feminist based on feminist attitudes. Numerous studies have shown that the development of feminist identity is associated with positive outcomes for women’s mental and physical health, such as reduced homophobia, enhanced self-efficacy in achieving goals, increased collective self-esteem among women, decreased levels of depression and stress, improved subjective well-being, more positive body image, alleviation of eating-related issues, and a greater willingness to participate in activities promoting gender equality. The Feminist Identity Composite (FIC) scale is the most recognized and widely used scale for measuring feminist identity. The FIC scale consists of 33 items divided into five subscales: Passive Acceptance Subscale (被动接受子量表), Truth Revelation Subscale (真相揭露子量表), Connection Divergence Subscale (联结发散子量表), Integration Subscale (整合子量表), and Active Commitment Subscale (积极承诺子量表).

Administration Method and Scoring
Participants are asked to assess their responses to various statements according to their actual situations using a five-point Likert scale ranging from “Strongly Disagree” to “Strongly Agree.”
Reliability and Validity
In the study by Fischer et al., the reliability coefficients for the five subscales were 0.75, 0.80, 0.84, 0.68, and 0.77 respectively. Each subscale showed little correlation with social approval but was related to self-identity, awareness of gender discrimination, and participation in women’s activities. In the research conducted by Shi Xin, the internal consistency coefficients for the subscales were 0.70, 0.73, 0.80, 0.75, and 0.77.
