De POSAS is bedoeld voor de beoordeling van alle littekentypes. Zij bestaat uit twee vragenlijsten: een patientenvragenlijst en een lijst voor de observator (therapeut/specialist). Beiden bevatten 6 items en een overall beoordeling. De schalen zijn apart te gebruiken, maar samen geven ze een meer compleet beeld.
