Description

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a complex and severe mental illness. It is characterized clinically by emotional dysregulation, instability in interpersonal relationships and self-image, and impulsive behaviors, often resulting in impaired social functioning, difficulties in treatment, and a suicide mortality rate that is 50 times higher than that of the general population. The prevalence of BPD in the general population is approximately 1%-2%.

Purpose

The McLean Screening Instrument for Borderline Personality Disorder (MSI-BPD) was revised by Zhong Jie and others, consisting of 10 items, aimed at screening for BPD.
