COVID-19 Applicability Measure

COVID-19 Applicability Measure

Abstract

The COVID-19 Applicability Measure (Wirtz et al., 2023) was developed to assess how well participants succeeded in implementing COVID-19 infection prevention measures in their daily life. Scale content was based on national prevention recommendations, informational materials, and interviews with the current population of interest. The resulting 20-item instrument was evaluated in a German sample comprised of expectant mothers of infants. Factor analysis and reliability results were reported for these items.

Purpose

The purpose of this questionnaire is to examine the applicability of COVID-19 prevention measures in the daily life of participants.

Validity

No data is Available.

Reliability

Internal Consistency: The internal consistencies of the scales were insufficient to moderate (α = .562– .777).

Factor Analysis

Exploratory Factor Analysis: For the 20 items on applying COVID-19 protective measures in daily life, five latent dimensions were assumed according to both the global fit measures (CFI=.977, TLI = .957, SRMR = .036; ESM 3) and the Kaiser-Gutmann criterion (eigenvalues: 6.96, 1.61, 1.42, 1.29, 1.09, 0.89, …). The five factors (GEOMIN-rotated) accounted for 62% of the data variance.

Instrument: COVID-19 Applicability Measure
