COVID-19-Related Worries Measure

COVID-19-Related Worries Measure

Abstract

The COVID-19-Related Worries Measure (Semeraro et al., 2023) is a 9-item self-report scale designed to assess the intensity of worries specifically related to COVID-19 experienced over the preceding two weeks. This measure was developed as part of a research study investigating the interplay between maladaptive personality traits (psychoticism, detachment, and negative affect) and psychological stress, considering the influential roles of COVID-19-related worries and emotional dysregulation. The nine ad hoc questions comprising this measure were administered online to a sample of Italian adults. The authors reported on the internal consistency of the measure and discussed the mediating effects of COVID-19-related worries within their study’s findings.
