The authors suggest that the Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire (CFQ) should only retain the Cognitive Fusion Subscale (CFQ-F). The Chinese version of the CFQ-F demonstrates good reliability and validity and can be utilized in cognitive fusion-related research within China. Cognitive fusion is a core component of the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) pathological model, referring to the tendency for people’s behavior to be excessively controlled by language rules and thought content, which is indicative of psychological inflexibility.
