Description
A survey was conducted on January 2 and January 4, 2008, aboard train K632/K631 from Xinyang to Shangqiu, considering the randomness of selected subjects, ease of response, questionnaire return rate, and research efficiency and economic costs. A total of 600 questionnaires were distributed, with 558 returned. After excluding 49 invalid questionnaires, 509 valid responses were obtained. Among these, there were 311 males and 198 females; 244 urban residents, 99 county residents, 54 township residents, and 112 rural residents. The ages ranged from 16 to 66 years, with an average age of 27.22 years and a standard deviation of 8.61 years.

Administration Method and Scoring
The study utilized SPSS 13.0 software to calculate the total correlation between five items and the total score to assess reliability. The results indicated correlations between 0.70 and 0.80 between all items and the total score, and correlations between 0.29 and 0.53 among the individual items, all reaching significance levels of PReliability and Validity
Reliability:
– Cronbach’s alpha: 0.78
– Split-half reliability: 0.70
Validity:
– Structural validity: Confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that the five items of the satisfaction scale loaded onto a single latent variable (life satisfaction). The loadings ranged from 0.59 to 0.80, all reaching extremely significant levels (PFactors and Subscales
校标效度 (Criterion-related validity):
– The correlation of scores on the life satisfaction scale was calculated against scores on the Positive Affect Scale (积极情感分量表), Negative Affect Scale (消极情感分量表), and a single-item measure of overall well-being (总体幸福感单题量表). The correlations found were as follows:
– Positive Affect Scale: r=0.42, PKeywords
