Akron Classification Test

The Akron Classification Test is a multiple-choice aptitude test designed to assess a person’s ability to identify relationships and make connections between concepts. It contains 80 questions that require the test-taker to choose the most appropriate answer from a list of five options.

Examples of items include:

  • “A concurrent idea is: (A) dynamic, (B) popular, (C) simultaneous, (D) weak, (E) spent”
  • “A vague reference is: (A) obscure, (B) weak, (C) stupid, (D) simple, (E) vicious”

These questions measure the test-taker’s ability to understand and apply abstract concepts, as well as their vocabulary and reasoning skills. The Akron Classification Test is often used as part of a comprehensive assessment of a person’s cognitive abilities and potential for academic or vocational success.
