Description

The “Integrated Wisdom Scale” categorizes wisdom into two distinct dimensions: 良好品德 (Moral virtue) and 聪明才智 (Smartness). Within 良好品德, there are five factors: 仁爱 (Loving-kindness), 诚信 (Integrity), 责任心 (Responsibility), 节制 (Temperance), and 公平 (Fairness). The 智能才智 dimension comprises four factors: 辩证思维 (Dialectical thinking), 反省思维 (Reflective thinking), 创新思维 (Innovative thinking), and 批判思维 (Critical thinking). The scale consists of a total of 43 items.

The 仁爱 factor refers to a deep understanding of others’ situations, leading to feelings of sympathy and empathy, which motivates individuals to help others. 诚信 denotes a careful approach to commitments, striving to fulfill promises and feeling a sense of compensation when promises are unfulfilled, alongside a dislike for dishonest behavior. 责任心 signifies a clear understanding of one’s responsibilities, guiding actions and accepting the consequences of one’s behavior, leading to satisfaction when fulfilling responsibilities and guilt when failing to do so. 节制 involves effective regulation and control of cognition, emotions, and behavior, adhering to rules in the face of obstacles. The 公平 factor perceives fairness and justice as moral obligations, acting according to fairness principles and having aversion to unfair situations. 辩证思维 is the ability to consider both sides and uncertainties of matters, analyzing specific problems specifically. 反省思维 involves monitoring and reviewing one’s thinking processes, while 创新思维 emphasizes recognizing new problems and proposing new methods. 批判思维 pertains to forming independent and objective evaluations of issues.
