De FAS is een instrument om de pijnbeleving in kaart te brengen. Het gaat daarbij om de emotionele reactie op de ervaren pijn, hoe de cliënt zich van binnen voelt. De 9 gezichten variëren van een zo gelukkig mogelijk gevoel tot een zo verdrietig mogelijk gevoel.
