De ACSM- schaal is een 4-punt Likertschaal die de mate van pijn in 4 graden uitdrukt. De schaal kan tijdens en na het lopen worden afgenomen en kan worden gebruikt om de reden van stoppen met lopen vast te leggen. De schaal kan worden gebruikt bij patiënten met perifere vaatziekten zoals Claudicatio Intermittens.
