De CFS-APQ is bruikbaar bij het bepalen van behandeldoelstellingen en behandelbare aspecten bij chronische vermoeidheid. De vragenlijst inventariseert het activiteiten- en participatieniveau van de patiënt tijdens de afgelopen 7 dagen. De opgenomen beweringen beschrijven bepaalde situaties hoe klachten de dagelijkse activiteiten beïnvloeden. Per bewering zijn er 2 deelvragen om aan te geven in hoeverre deze bewering op de patiënt van toepassing is en of hij/zij deze belangrijk vindt. Hoe hoger de score des te meer problemen ervaart de patiënt in vaardigheden en participatie.
