A sample of students from 10 classes each of seventh and eighth grades at an experimental middle school in a county in Henan Province was selected for the study. The survey was administered by class, and the questionnaires were collected on site. A total of 1,600 questionnaires were distributed, with 1,452 valid responses collected.
