is a severe and chronic form of factitious disorder which is typically characterized with the persistent and consistent fabrication of medical conditions which simply do not occur. It was first proposed and scientifically looked at by Baron Karl Friedrich Hieronymus von Munchhausen (1720 – 1797) who was a German soldier and adventurer.
