APERT’S SYNDROME

a genetic condition in which the baby has an abnormal shaped head due to the premature closure of some of the cranial sutures (see also craniosynos fosis syndrome). This is most often accompanied by intellectual deficits and syndactyly (partial or complete fusion of the digits). The syndactyly problem usually involves both hands and feet, typically resulting in fusion of the skin and bones. This looks like mitten hands and sock feet. Apert
