BORG SCALE

n. a set of two scales used to measure intensity of training and exertion during exercise. On one hand, the RPE (Rating of Perceived Exertion) rates effort and exertion on a 6-20 scale. On the other, CR10 (Categorical Rating) monitors sensations and other indicators such as fatigue, dyspnea, muscle pain, and chest pain. First introduced by Swedish psychologist Gunnar Borg.
