BISERIAL CORRELATION

n. in statistics, refers to the correlation between two variables when one variable is dichotomous (Y) and the other is continuous or multiple in value (X). The dichotomous variable may be naturally so, as with gender for instance, and binary meaning either male or female.

BISERIAL CORRELATION: “By means of biserial correlation, it is statistically possible to measure the association between two variables when one is dichotomous and the other continuous.”
