ADULT SENSORINEURAL LESIONS

injuries occurring naturally to the auditory system which span from the inner ear all the way to the auditory perception sectors of the brain. The wounds are usually found inside of the auditory nerve or the cochlea. The latter might be a result of Meniere’s disease, which stems from extended exposure to high volumes, viruses, or due to the side effects of drug use or abuse. When found on the auditory nerve, the wounds are usually the result of a tumorous growth. Reference: acoustic neuroma and sensorineural hearing loss.

ADULT SENSORINEURAL LESIONS: “The adult sensorial lesions in Mark’s ear canal stemmed all the way into his brain, making removal of the lesion a risky procedure, but one that would repair his hearing abilities in that ear.”
