injuries occurring naturally to the auditory system which span from the inner ear all the way to the auditory perception sectors of the brain. The wounds are usually found inside of the auditory nerve or the cochlea. The latter might be a result of Meniere’s disease, which stems from extended exposure to high volumes, viruses, or due to the side effects of drug use or abuse.
