Beliefs about Medicine Questionnaire – BMQ

De BMQ is een vragenlijst, om de opvattingen van patiënten over medicijnen in het algemeen en over hun eigen specifieke medicatie in te schatten. Met deze inschatting kunnen interventies om therapietrouw te bevorderen op maat van de patiënt verbeterd worden. Met name voor chronisch zieken geeft dit goede aanwijzingen om de therapietrouw te bevorderen. DE BMQ bestaat uit 2 schalen: de BMQ-S(pecific) meet opvattingen over noodzaak van de voorgeschreven medicatie en zorgen over mogelijke negatieve bijwerkingen/gevolgen. De BMQ-G(eneral) meet de positieve en negatieve opvattingen over medicatie in het algemeen. Elke sublijst kan ook onafhankelijk gebruikt worden.
