Abstract
The Determinants of Prejudice Among Police Cadets–Model (Demirkol & Nalla, 2023) was developed for a study investigating the antecedents of prejudice toward foreigners within the framework of intergroup threat theory. This measurement model aims to assess police cadets’ prejudice toward other ethnic groups. The proposed items were adapted from previous research (e.g., Scheepers et al., 2002; Altemeyer, 1981; Mummendey et al., 2001). Items were initially constructed in English, then translated into Turkish, and back-translated into English to check for accuracy and validity. The resulting measure was administered to a sample of police cadets in three police vocational schools in Turkey and evaluated using structural equation modeling. Results concerning factor structure, reliability, and validity were reported.

Purpose
The purpose of this measurement model is to assess police cadets’ prejudice toward other ethnic groups.
Validity
Discriminant validity: Factor analysis results supported the discriminant validity of the constructs. All of the scale items were significantly related to their respective latent constructs.
Reliability
Test reliability: Reliability coefficients ranged from .54-.76 among the factors.
Factor Analysis
Confirmatory factor analysis: The analysis of the measurement model with six factors demonstrated an overall acceptable fit for the data (χ2 (359) = 889.98, p < .001; CFI = .90; AGFI = .90; RMSEA = .05; SRMR = .05).
Instrument: Determinants of Prejudice Among Police Cadets–Model
