The “National Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire (Short Version)” was developed by the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019, based on the full version of the mental health literacy questionnaire. Administration Method and Scoring

The questionnaire consists of three parts:
1. Knowledge Judgment Questions: 20 questions, correct answers score 5 points each, total score range: 0–100 points, focusing on mental health knowledge level.
2. Self-Assessment Questions: 8 questions, each scored from 1 to 4, total score range: 8–32 points, focusing on mental health skills and awareness.
3. Case Study Questions: 2 groups with 4 questions each, total score range: 0–40 points, focusing on the recognition and response to common mental health disorders like depression and social anxiety.

Reliability and Validity

The questionnaire possesses good reliability and validity. The test-retest reliability is 0.743, and the standardized Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient is 0.783. The Cronbach’s Alpha scores for the three parts are 0.690, 0.851, and 0.747, respectively.
