Description
The Life Goals Questionnaire (Goals, Pohlmann, Brunstein, 1997) measures the significance an individual ascribes to life goals, effectively assessing explicit motivation. The scale is concise, consisting of 24 items, but can effectively measure six types of motivation: 成就 (achievement), 归属 (affiliation), 享乐 (hedonism), 利他 (altruism), 权力 (power), 亲和 (intimacy). It employs a 5-point scale, with a simple scoring method of summing the scores across items. Additionally, it can compute two higher-order motivations: 自立动机 (self-oriented motivation) from the sum of achievement, hedonism, and power scores; and 共生动机 (symbiotic motivation) from the sum of affiliation, altruism, and intimacy scores.
