| Description | The Psychotic Reaction Profile (PRP; Lorr, O’Connor, & Stafford, 1960) is a multidimensional behavior inventory designed to describe observable psychotic behavior in patients in hospital settings. The inventory was constructed by reviewing published inventories, rating scales, and psychiatric texts, resulting in 400 behavior statements. These were categorized into nine behavior disturbance areas by clinical psychologists. After item elimination and review by psychologists and psychiatrists, 124 items remained. The PRP includes four scales: Withdrawal (38 items), Thinking Disorganization (18 items), Paranoid Belligerence (24 items), and Agitated Depression (5 items). The reliability coefficients for the scales were mostly above .90, except for Agitated Depression, which showed unsatisfactory reliability. |
