a rare genetic disorder affecting both males and females and marked by signs of premature aging prior to the age of 20. The patients are generally of short stature. The indicators are inclusive of graying and loss of hair, skin atrophy, under activity of the endocrine glands, collection of calcium deposits within the tissues, and a type of arthritis. Commonly referred to as progeria adultorum.
