VISCERAL BRAIN

the region of the brain which is engaged in the neurophysiological management of emotion-based actions and experience. Its significant structures are the septal region, amygdala, and the hippocampal formation. These structures are thought to control reactions, ordered, in theory, by the basal ganglia and hypothalamus, and to supply them with a lot of the required data.

VISCERAL BRAIN: “The visceral brain incorporates mental aspects with orders for action.”
