They have been identified at depths spanning from the connective tissue covering the exterior of a bone to the skin’s exterior. Some vibration receptors appear to be most sensitive to vibrations ranging from 100 to 500 Hz, whereas other vibrations are most sensitive to those under 100 Hz.
