PRIVILEGED COMMUNICATION

Privileged communication is information (verbally or written) passed between an individual and another tasked with their care and maintenance. Such information is exclusive to the two parties and cannot be passed to a third party without consent. Privileged communication is a concept in medicine, between an attorney and client, a husband and wife and between a penitent and priest or minister.
