CAUSAL PATH

n. a relatively-probable to highly-probable causal sequence derived from a complex array of potential causes and effects. Statistical analysis is done using first-order and partial correlation among variables to determine cause and effect. Based on the pattern of correlations, it is possible to conclude which variables and in which order a path can be modeled from cause to effect.

CAUSAL PATH: “A causal path is a model for a more complex causal sequence with several to many potential causes and effects.”
