CAUSAL INFERENCE

n. in psychology, refers to a manner of reasoning which permits an individual to see causal relationships in events and infer associations between and among them. These lead one to make conclusions (inferences) that are more likely to be true and justifed.

CAUSAL INFERENCE: “Causal inference is a process which has been reasoned out and concluded as to the most likely cause.”
