CALORIC NYSTAGMUS

a. rotatory type of nystagmus that is induced when the ears are irrigated by a warm or cold stimulus. Furthermore, it has been developed into a test wherein water is poured into the ear, after which nystagmus is measured.

CALORIC NYSTAGMUS: “Caloric nystagmus manifests as the rapid, involuntary movement of the eyeball in a rotatory manner.”
