BODY-TYPE THEORIES

n. a group of theories which suggest that physical aspects such as body build, shape, and size exert an influence on the formation of personality traits. An endomorph, for example, would be the type who is jolly while a mesomorph would be more of the active, competitive type.

BODY-TYPE THEORIES: “Since body-type theories suggest that one’s physique also helps shape behavior, there are adjunctive therapies which train people to be more in-touch with their bodies. “
