CAFFEINE INTOXICATION

n. a type of intoxication induced by an overdose of caffeine. The caffeine content may have been derived from coffee, tea, or cola, for instance. Symptoms include rapid, pounding heartbeat and psychomotor agitation. These may be accompanied by increased urination and gastrointestinal complaints.

CAFFEINE INTOXICATION: “Caffeine intoxication translates to a consumption of over 250 mg, or more than 2-1/2 cups of coffee in the average adult.”
