n. a transient phenomenon which occurs while smoking or after ingesting cannabis. Clinically, it consists of feelings of enhanced well-being, heightened perception, and a slowing down of time. Although the experience is reversible, it is accompanied by increased pulse rate and dryness in the eyes, mouth, and throat. See substance intoxication.
