BASIC TECHNIQUE (BT)

n. in parapsychology, refers to the use of Zener cards as a method to detect precognition. This cognitive ability is often associated with extrasensory perception, clairvoyance, and telepathy. For more reliable results on this technique, in experimental psychology, each card is guessed and then set aside until the whole deck has been finished.

BASIC TECHNIQUE (BT): “Going beyond guesswork or a mere hunch, the basic technique (BT) relies heavily on a person’s keen intuition.”
