AUGMENTATIVE COMMUNICATION

any communication that is aided, facilitated, or expanded by someone other than the communicator. An example of this is the provision of an easy- to-access online dictionary or thesaurus, or in-text pointers to other references and information regarding news items. See also facilitated communication.

AUGMENTATIVE COMMUNICATION: “Augmentative communication refers to the provision of more information by a person other than the original source.”
