ANIMAL-ASSISTED THERAPY

a specialized brand of psychotherapy that includes the use of animals to enhance an individual’s social, cognitive, or emotional functioning. Individuals that may particularly benefit include older individuals or people who are suffering from a lack of appropriate social skills or social interactions.
