| Description | The Philosophies of Human Nature Scale (Wrightsman, 1964) measures personality traits related to trust. It assesses six components: Trustworthiness, Altruism, Independence, Strength of Will and Rationality, Complexity, and Variability. Initially, 20 Likert-type items were written to measure each component, but after two item analyses, a final form with 14 items per subscale was developed. The scale shows adequate internal consistency and strong consistency over time.
