De MOHOST is gebaseerd op de Model of Human Occupation (MOHO).1 Het instrument meet de participatie van de cliënt in zijn omgeving op de gebieden zelfverzorging, productiviteit en ontspanning. De participatie van het handelen in verschillenden situaties in een ander omgeving kan m.b.v. de MOHOST vergeleken worden. Het instrument kan binnen de behandeling herhaald worden.2 De gegevens kunnen verzameld worden door observaties, dossiers, ander onderzoeken, gesprekken, verzorgers en multidisciplinair team.1 Er is een 4-punte-scoreschaal en de uitslag van de scoren geeft een visueel beeld over de zwakke en sterke kanten van de participatie op het gebied van handelen.
