WILLIAMS V FLORIDA

an influential 1970 United States Supreme Court judgment that juries of fewer than 12 individuals may be constitutionally permissible. The court mandated that even though the size of a jury is an imperative aspect in its efficacy, juries possessing as little as 6 members could operate as effectively as those of 12 members.

WILLIAMS V FLORIDA: “According to Williams v. Florida, juries of 8 members can function on the same level as juries of 12 members. “
