This mechanism is known as observational learning or modeling. Unlike classical conditioning (Pavlov) or operant conditioning (Skinner), SLT highlights the importance of vicarious reinforcement, where an individual observes a model being rewarded or punished for a specific action, thereby influencing the observer’s likelihood of reproducing that action.
