Compilation of recorded assessments of the aspects of musical competence, such as tonal retention, time consciousness, tempo consciousness, pitch discrimination, timbre consciousness, and loudness discrimination. In these six subtests, a variety of pairs of tones, tonal sequences, or rhythmic styles are displayed, and the individual has to differentiate each one along a specific aspect of awareness. For instance, in the time consciousness subtest, the individual has to signal for each of fifty tone pairs whether or not the 2nd tone is longer or shorter compared to the 1st.
