NERVE TRUNK

is the main collection of axons in a nerve where they all run together. In spinal nerves, there are two nerve roots which combine to then evenly distribute to the peripheral organs and tissues. Nerve trunks normally branch out to feed other cells or muscles after a period of running straight.

NERVE TRUNK: “Similar to the structure of a cable, the nerve trunk is a structure of nerve axons which run concurrently next to each other in a cylindrical shape normally.”
