MAPLE-SUGAR URINE DISEASE (MSUD)

is a condition which results in the urine and sweat released by the body having a distinctive maple-syrup smell. MSUD is caused as a result of a lack of enzymes which are required to process amino acids including- leucine, isoleucine, valine and alloisoleucine.
