CAUSE-AND-EFFECT DIAGRAM

n. in management and economics, refers to an analytical tool which graphically illustrates the flow of cause and effect. Also called the Ishikawa diagram or fishbone digram. First developed by Japanese professor and management expert Kaoru Ishikawa (1915-1989).
