CARBON TETRACHLORIDE

n. a volatile type of solvent which produces sedative-like side effects when inhaled. These behavioral effects include a sense of euphoria, disorientation, and depersonalization. Symptoms persist along with dementia, given continued use. (Formula: CCl4) See inhalant. Also inhalant abuse.
