CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING

n. lethal intoxication with a colorless, odorless gas called carbon monoxide. It causes a condition known as anoxia in which cells and tissues lack oxygen. Symptoms of such poisoning include headache, light-headedness, confusion, and delirium. Severe exposure induces a deep coma followed by brain damage and death. (Formula: CO)
