CALCIUM-CHANNEL BLOCKCRS

n. Drugs classified as calcium antagonists and used in the treatment of angina, high blood pressure, and abnormal heart rhythms. (Example: verapamil) They bind with calcium channels and, thus, inhibit the movement of calcium ions into blood vessels and heart muscle.
