BRIEF PSYCHOTIC DISORDER

n. in DSM-IV-TR, refers to a psychological disturbance involving at least psychotic symptom, such as delusions, hallucinations, incoherence, or catatonic behavior. Sudden in onset, it may last briefly and then return to full recovery. See brief reactive psychosis (DSM-III).
